- Brand: MOLYKOTE
- Description: MOLYKOTE™ 7 Silicone Release Compound 100gm Tube
- Availability: In Stock
Molykote 7 Release Compound utilizes dimethyl silicone compounds and offers a wide range of applications for lubrication and protection needs. It is an incredibly versatile and heat-stable silicone-based release agent. It is highly effective with plastics, rubber, metals, and adhesives, providing long-lasting release properties while remaining inert to most materials. It also has an impressive wide temperature range, maintaining its effectiveness from -70°C (-57deg;F) to +204°C (+400°F). It exhibits excellent chemical resistance, including resistance to mineral oils, vegetable oils, air, dilute acids, alkaline, and most aqueous solutions. Additionally, it is practically non-volatile, odourless, moisture-resistant, and electrically insulating.
This compound finds numerous applications, including as a mould release agent for foundry shell and core moulds, a break-in treatment for bladders on tire presses, a lubricant and preservative for rubber, a release agent for adhesives and glues, a cable-pulling lubricant for drawing rubber-covered cables through conduits, a release agent for plastic extruders and processing equipment, and a release agent for plastic film packaging machines.
